In Body-Mind Centering® we explore the origins of coordination through Developmental Movement for adults

Developmental Movement

Infants show us how the impulse to move arises reflexively, then develops into functional patterning.

Through BMC® we investigate these patterns of our own earliest movement, and uncover innate impulses that allow coordination to make natural sense. Our movement then feels easier and more graceful and energized. Our spontaneous activity becomes aligned with our intent through the most efficient pathways available, and many things we like to achieve through movement become newly accessible.

We heal and learn in the way we grew: through movement. Let me guide you to find support within your living anatomy, while you embody new possibilities from a fuller palette of human developmental potential. We can explore movement experiences together, find balance within ourselves, and move out into the world to share our unique gifts-with all systems revived.

Body Systems

We can approach the developmental patterns from a palette of exquisite movement qualities that arise out of different body systems.

Skeletal System relates to clarity, effortlessness and form

Organ System ~ underlies feelings, expression and sense of volume

Muscle System ~ provides vitality, dynamics of resistance and a tensile three-dimensional grid for the balanced support and movement of the Skeletal System

Endocrine System ~ relates to intuition, energy flow and internal chaos/balance

Fluid System ~ mediates the dynamics of flow between rest and activity

Nervous System ~ governs alertness, thought, precision and perception

Each system calls forth a different flavor of consciousness, and reveals depths of resource and choice from within.
